Stephen is a Six Sigma trained and certified results-oriented strategic leader with broad range of successes in implementation of Analytics and Enterprise Risk Management models, structures and processes using different approaches with statistical tools,  analytics methodologies, risk identification, risk measurement, risk control, analytics and risk monitoring plus analytics and risk reporting intelligence depending on the business requirements and business strategic needs.

 

He is a system thinker with passion for Analytics, Six Sigma, Lean Value Streams, ERM, econometrics and KPI methodologies. He has demonstrated track records of consistently combining financial leadership with sound short-term and long-term forecasting, risk management, hedging, statistical modeling and strategic planning.

 

Stephen is an award winning change-agent and customer centric who is acknowledged for balanced judgment, stability and capacity to generate consensus among core business stakeholders with diverse agendas and visions.

  

Stephen is currently the Vice President of Data Management Services for CBE Companies in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was previously the Vice President of Analytics for the same company.

 

Before joining CBE Companies, he was with Highmark, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Pittsburgh, PA. as the Director of Operations Analytics.

 

Previously, he was Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management for AEGON, Louisville, KY, Head of Enterprise Risk Management for Rockhill Insurance, Kansas, MO where he built the Enterprise Risk Management Department from the scratch. The output from the Rockhill Insurance ERM Department enjoyed excellent review from the Rating Agencies that include A.M. Best  and Standard and Poor's Ratings Services.

Before joining Rockhill Insurance, he was with GE where he held various risk management positions with increased responsibilities. Some of these roles included Global Risk Management Executive Leadership roles for various P&C Insurance, Life Insurance and Reinsurance products.

 

He won various GE awards for groundbreaking enterprise risk management solutions that included claims forecasting models, loss ratio forecasting models and Go-to-the-market models. He was the first in GE Financial Services to integrate Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) into transactional businesses to enhance process stability and ensure product profitability.

 

Stephen graduated the Best Student in his B.Sc. Political Sciences class from University of Calabar, Nigeria. He has Masters in Political Sciences and International Relations from University of Lagos, Nigeria and MBA Finance from University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN.

 

Stephen holds Ph.D. in Political Sciences with emphasis in Political Economy (First-Class Honors with Distinction or Arista) from Pantheon University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens, Greece.

 

He is an Alumni of Executive Business Education from Harvard Business School, Cambridge, MA.
